In Y1 Cherry class we have been making London landmarks out of clay! First we learnt lots about different places around London; like the Gherkin and London Eye. We thought about what they looked like so we could make our designs as realistic as possible. Then we created a clay version of our design. Some of us made Big Ben (which we found out is actually called the Elizabeth Tower because “Big Ben” is just the name of the bell!) while others made things like the National History Museum and the Shard. After a few days (so the clay could dry) we painted our model landmarks. We are so pleased with the results, take a look!
